About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic-minded Strategy Associate to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future direction of our organisation. The main objective of this role is to contribute to shaping ideas, evaluating current initiatives, and driving the organisation forward strategically. Working closely with the leadership team, the Strategy Associate will have the opportunity to work within one of our various teams, depending on their experience and interests, to help develop and execute strategic plans that align with our organisational goals and mission.

The ideal candidate for the Strategy Associate position will be highly analytical, with a strong ability to think strategically and critically evaluate ideas and plans. They should possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex concepts clearly. A proactive and innovative mindset, with a passion for driving organisational growth and success, is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shape strategic ideas and plans to drive organisational growth and success.
  • Evaluate current initiatives and provide insights to enhance strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategic plans.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify market trends, opportunities, and threats.
  • Assist in the development of strategic goals, objectives, and KPIs.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and best practices in strategic planning and management.

Role-Specific Skills and Experience:

  • Strong ability to develop and implement effective strategic initiatives University graduate or student [D].
  • Excellent analytical skills to evaluate initiatives and provide data-driven insights.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Enthusiasm for and alignment with our organisation's cause.

Time Commitment:

  • This is a part-time volunteering role for an initial 3 month period, starting in July 2024, up until the launch of our first programme, September 2024. Beyond this, depending on the needs and trajectory of our organisation, we’d be open to discussing a long term volunteering position.
  • This role will require an average of 4-7 hours per week, inclusive of team meetings.*

We understand that everyone has unique work schedules and personal commitments, and we are prepared to accommodate periods of decreased availability, adjusting workloads as necessary.
