About the role
We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Project Coordinator to join our team and support our upcoming projects. This role is ideal for someone looking to work closely with the leadership team to help drive projects forward, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope. Key responsibilities include assisting with project planning, coordinating tasks, tracking progress, and facilitating communication among team members.
The ideal candidate for the Project Coordinator position will be highly organised, diligent, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously. They should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams. A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow within the role are essential. Previous experience in project coordination or support roles is preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Allocate resources and assign tasks to team members.
- Coordinate with teams to secure necessary resources and support to reach milestones.
- Maintain up-to-date project documentation and track progress using project management tools.
- Assist the leadership team with data and insights for informed decision-making.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues.
- Prepare and distribute project reports and status updates.
Role-Specific Skills and Experience:

- University graduate or student [D].
- Understanding of project management principles and methodologies, including project scope, schedule, delegation and team morale. [D]
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Time Commitment:
- This is a part-time volunteering role for an initial 3 month period, starting in July 2024, up until the launch of our first programme, September 2024. Beyond this, depending on the needs and trajectory of our organisation, we’d be open to discussing a long term volunteering position.
- This role will require an average of 4-7 hours per week, inclusive of team meetings.*
